Cisco is looking for an experienced Director of Product Management to lead a global team of product managers responsible for transforming the Routing & SDWAN Portfolio to a portfolio of Secure WAN platforms for the Enterprise Edge.

What You’ll Do

We’re seeking an analytical and strategic PM leader to join the team responsible for the Enterprise Catalyst 8K WAN Edge portfolio. Enterprise Routing & SDWAN is a multi-billion-dollar core business for Cisco where we enjoy high market shares. The team has a reputation and history of creating industry leading products. The Catalyst 8000 is used by tens of thousands of Enterprises, Government and Service Provider customers across the globe. As Cisco moves towards a more software focused strategy, this is a great time to shape and transform the future of the Routing & SDWAN business as we explore and identify new markets such as cloud networking & security. This is an exciting time to join the Enterprise Campus Routing & SDWAN team and drive growth in a dynamic market.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, has a proven track record driving innovative product in hyper-growth markets and will also be able to communicate effectively with leadership and senior executives across multiple functions. You combine technical aptitude with business acumen, are detail-oriented, metrics-driven, and unwilling to settle for mediocrity. To sum it up, the leader is a self-starter who can tactically execute, while critically thinking through strategic issues. Reporting into Vice President, Routing & SDWAN, this position offers great opportunities for visibility and impact across Networking Experiences.

Responsibilities

·       Establishing a shared vision on product strategy, roadmap, and requirements across the company

·       Full ownership of product lifecycle including definition, development, and launch of new products, managing product End of life, and sustainable support of existing products in the portfolio

·       Use multiple data sources, customer, and competitive insights, third party market research reports for Quantitative and qualitative market and competitive analysis to identify market trends and opportunities

·       Engage directly and regularly with customers and partners to gain an in-depth understanding of their business processes & product needs, validate solutions & develop product champions.

·       Be a trusted advisor to your engineering team, working closely and coordinating the deliverables of several development teams to meet roadmap goals.

·       Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success to support the creation of customer-driven messaging, sales enablement tools and thought leadership materials.

·       Lead a distributed team of product managers, working with a large, cross-functional engineering team.

·       Develop and grow talent through mentoring and coaching.

 

Requirements

·       10+ years of relevant experience including Product management roles, preferable in networking & Security space. Experience with Platform (Hardware & OS) is essential. Experience in Technology / Cloud / SaaS solutions a plus.

·       Works effectively in complex and matrixed organizations.

·       Ability to be highly productive with minimal oversight from senior management.

·       Strategic thinker with a strong mix of product management, technology and customer experience acumen, coupled with strategic vision and proven execution.

·       Strong listening skills and an ability to speak in front of senior audiences as well as write clearly, concisely, and compellingly.

·       Strong technical and business knowledge of computer networking, computing, and telecommunications.

·       Education: BSEE/CS or equivalent; MBA or Graduate degree preferred.
