What You’ll Do
You'll play a leading role in driving and managing the ramp, readiness and sustaining products for Optics Operations BU through collaboration with various functions including engineering, manufacturing operations, supplier management, planning and fulfillment operations, finance.
- Prepares the supply chain and handles a plan to ensure continuity of material supply and delivery
- Develop a silicon demand supply plan: supply-demand balancing; supply availability; allocation management; delivery performance
- Identify and communicate supply chain disruptions to internal cross-functional groups as needed and work toward a resolution
- Drive production capacity planning in both NPI and Sustaining phase of the lifecycle
- Work closely with suppliers and foundry partners to ensure vendor delivery compliance.
- Ensure timely manufacturing execution for back-end material starts based on the build plan to meet order promise dates for customer shipments.
Who You’ll Work With
- Coordinate with Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to ensure products are optimized for cost, manufacturability, testability, and supply chain flexibility and efficiency
- Manage all Operations-related communications, upward and downward through the organization; call out key issues and present options for resolution to the executive team
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing operations in an outsourced environment
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management and facilitation skills
- Willing to work independently and drive resolutions with people across different organizational level
- Experience using Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel advanced functions
- Experience in large, technically complex project transitions and ability to multi-task
- Coordination and negotiation skills. Ability to influence cross-functional teams as well as Operations functions for effective planning and implementation
- Cross-function understanding of supply chain functions and their value in the fulfillment of new products
- Experience in optical, micro-electronic and/or electro-optical assembly techniques (splicing, wire-bond, fiber alignment and attach, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
