What You’ll Do
The PCB Design Engineer (ECAD) help to conceptualize and develop leading-edge Service Provider Routing products. Require using a strong knowledge in Advanced technology PCB design, documentation, and implementation, on projects that may include any of the following list of responsibilities.
High Level Responsibilities
· Work with project team on the build of a major development product (board/package) coordinating with other departments and participating in scheduling (from conception to Fabrication).
· Responsible for technical content of design reviews.
· Able to design PCBs of 30+ layers with advance technology (HDI, Fine Pitch Pin Fields, High IO count)
· Strong knowledge in all functional related EMC, Safety, SI and DFM, Mechanical design issues.
· Able to interpret and apply Signal Integrity rules.
· Knowledge of PCB construction. Prepare documents for PCB assembly and fabrication using current release of Cadence Allegro CAD software.
· Coordinates with the functional team members and drives issues for successful conclusions.
· Drives resolution of issues with SI, MCAD and Manufacturing Engineers in developing new boards.
· Strong knowledge in the complete fabrication/assembly and gerber generation.
· Attend cross functional meeting (SI, MCAD, MFG, CM & Fab vendor feedback)
· Knowledge in Designing for Manufacturability guidelines.
· Self-inclusion and participation on Best Practice team.
· Attend Peer Group Team meetings.
· Drive productivity & process improvement areas
· Helps engineers find ways to attack new or difficult problems.
· Experience with Valor DFM software a plus.
· Experience with SKILL Script coding a plus.
Who You'll Work With
You will be working very closely with HW Engineering, SI/EMC, Product Ops team, Global Supplier Management (GSM), and External Vendors/Suppliers.
Who You Are
· Minimum 10 years of working experience in developing high speed and reliable circuits with complex high layers Advanced technology Printed Circuit Boards.
· Knowledge of SI, MCAD, MFG, CM & Fab development and processes.
· Knowledge in PCB design software such as Cadence Allegro.
· Very analytical to resolve design related issues.
· Assist cross functional team in preparing test procedures to verify PCB functions if applicable.
· Review and recommend improvements to existing and NPI designs.
· Understanding of PCB layer stack up.
· Knowledge of common PCB design rules.
· Strong learning and communication skills.
· Must have Associate Degree or equivalent technical training in PCB design and Electrical Drafting.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
