What You’ll Do at Cisco
You’ll be responsible for engaging with senior customer representatives including CISO and other C-suite stakeholders to engage on topics around CyberSecurity, adjacent technical areas, and application of technology and programs in the business.
Provides trusted support, advice and mentorship on the latest trends and developments in CyberSecurity and how these can be used to provide lasting business value and impact for our customers.
Applying your wide and deep experience in solving these challenges elsewhere you’ll help our customers with their journey, articulating Cisco’s outstanding value proposition and architecture for CyberSecurity and how Cisco can help our customers succeed with their CyberSecurity goals.
By establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and building lasting relationships, you’ll help bridge the communications gap between customer needs and what Cisco can offer.
Identifies opportunities for Cisco to provide additional products and services that are aligned to achieving the customer’s CyberSecurity goals.
Results and Outcomes
You’ll proactively strengthen and expand Cisco’s presence and technology leadership in the CyberSecurity domain through externally visible activities such as blog posts, social media posts, papers, external speaking engagements and serving on external forums and boards.
You’ll have a strongly accretive impact on Cisco’s CyberSecurity business as evidenced by pipeline generation and supporting sales of products.
You’ll actively contribute to talent development, ensuring the principals of improving inclusion and diversity are honoured and promoted.
Who You Will Work With
The Cisco CX Technology Office provides technology leadership, horizon three (3) delivery, and specialized support skills to the APJC region. We engage directly with our top 100 Customers and Partners to help them achieve business and technical outcomes that add genuine and tangible value to their organizations.
The CXTO team comprises some of Cisco Services’ most experienced and sought-after senior technical talent in the region and operates with the highest standards of engagement, quality, and ethics.
Who you are?
Requirements/Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor or Master, an MBA preferred.
- Certifications—CISSP, CRISC, CISA and CISM—and advantage.
- 15+ years relevant experience with at least five 5+ years as: a CISO, Head of Risk or equivalent in a major organization; Partner or Associate, Principal, or Managing Director in a ‘big 4+1’ company or other leading consulting organization; or a combination thereof.
- Recognized a leader in CyberSecurity in one or more industry verticals such as Financiaal Services; Service Provider; Manufacturing, Mining, Transportation, Oil and Gas, or Utilities; or Technology.
- A proven record of business leadership in a technical domain and experience in groundbreaking or strategic programs, with evidence of where past contributions have a significant impact on business.
- Proven track record of C-suite engagement with an extensive personal contact base.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
